I have worked as a network medical correspondent for thirty years and during that time I have traveled the globe, covering breaking news from every corner of the earth. From the most sophisticated operating rooms to makeshift operating theaters in war zones and refugee camps, I have seen what human misery and hope can look like in the same person.
I have also committed myself to producing educational films for academic medical societies. Part of that production work blossomed during my time at Johnson & Johnson and GE where I was able to participate in and facilitate medical symposia at the highest levels.
I am an accomplished speaker and have headlined for academic societies and private organizations. Topics have ranged from women’s health, genomics, medical mistakes, embracing stages in life when they hit you hard, and of course how important it is to age in place. My interviewing skills allow me to be an expert moderator and I am a frequent guest at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit.
I recently served as producer on the Turner Networks production of Chasing the Cure with Ann Curry. I am currently coauthoring a book with celebrated western photographer Barbara Van Cleve and continue to moderate scientific panels for Fortune 500 companies.
